The region is of outstanding natural beauty but economically very debased. It’s a plain region, mainly farming and agricultural, remote from commercial centers. Our school is a small peripheral institution consisting of 75 students and 14 teachers. However, our school aims to become a dynamic and active school in order to fulfill the aspirations and ambitions of our pupils and their families. All these years, it has been done a good work and every year our students are accepted in worthwhile departments of various universities. Some students have even made a mark in competitions concerning mathematics.

We have recently had a European experience concerning the development of Comenius Project and we consider that intergrading our school, students and parents in such kind of Projects, as for example the one our school is honored to participate in with the exchange of postcards, is an important opportunity to share knowledge thus promoting the contact with different cultures and languages. It will be a significant tool to motivate our Students, their families and the overall local community and also to reveal the European dimension and to forge citizenship practices. Towards this dimensions, all our students are willing to participate, devote time and work hard.
