Our students, aged 6 -16 years old, take great interest in different subjects.  We’ve won numerous grants and medals in Economics, Chemistry, Biology, and Russian, both in Ukrainian and international competitions. But the very thing we really appreciate  is the possibility to meet interesting and sincere friends. So, it’s a real pleasure for us to communicate with you.

Our school was opened in 1970 and it got № 2. It was a secondary school, widely-known for high academic results and extra-curricular activities. In 1999 two educational institutions: municipal primary school № 8 and secondary school № 2 were combined and Gymnasium № 1 was organized. Nowadays it is the largest school in our area. More than 800 pupils and students attend it. Our Gymnasium consists of 4 levels: four groups of pre-school for children aged 6-7, they spend the whole day here. They learn, play, sleep and have fun. There are 20 children in each group.

The region is of outstanding natural beauty but economically very debased. It’s a plain region, mainly farming and agricultural, remote from commercial centers. Our school is a small peripheral institution consisting of 75 students and 14 teachers. However, our school aims to become a dynamic and active school in order to fulfill the aspirations and ambitions of our pupils and their families. All these years, it has been done a good work and every year our students are accepted in worthwhile departments of various universities. Some students have even made a mark in competitions concerning mathematics.
