About the shool

The students attend Seneca High School, part of the Wattsburg Area School District.  The school has a variety of activities to choose from. We are known for our theater program where we put on plays and musicals. last year we put on "Beauty and the Beast". This was a large production with a huge cast, intricate costumes, and flying effects.

We also offer many sports for both males and females. These include American football, basketball, soccer and track and field. While we do not have a swimming pool, students can still compete in swimming at other local schools. This year our female soccer team did very well taking first in their region and making the playoffs. Also, our male cross country team took first in the region and 6th within the whole state! If academics is their strength students can join an academic sports league, get on the economics competition team, or assist with the science Olympiad held in our region.

Students also have the opportunity to travel to other countries if they wish. Every two years the French club takes a trip to Quebec Canada. We have a world travel club that traveled to Paris last December and will going to Italy this June. We haven't made it to Poland yet but who knows... maybe that's next. :)

Colégio Estadual Profª Carmem Costa Adriano In September 17th 1992 our school was founded and it was given the name Bertioga School with only elementary level attending. In June 26th 1995 it was to be called Carmem Costa Adriano and finally in 2006 the secondary level was implemented. In Brazil, it is very usual give to a school the name of an important teacher at the city. Our school has the name of a great nursery teacher named Carmem Costa Adriano. The abbreviation Prof means professora (teacher in Portuguese). And colégio means highschool in Portuguese. The school has three periods, elementary school from 6th grade to 9th grade during the morning and the afternoon; and the medium school from 1st grade to 3rd at night. The number of students is around 1600. We don´t have technical courses yet. As our school is in a lower-middle class neighborhood very far from downtown, the attending of the children is priority. So, highschool is offered only at night. The students that don´t want to study at night must to attend in a downtown school. We have a small library and a small recreation area. There are 19 classrooms and a computer lab.

"Oxford Institute is situated in Rosario, Argentina. Here, kids, adolescents and also adults learn English in a meaningful and relaxing way. With an experience of 27 years in the city, our institute has grown a lot and it offers English classes to students who want to achieve the right level of English to apply for a good job, to go to university, to travel or just to learn the language and culture of another country. Classes have more or less 20 students each. We work with nice books, we have video classes every 2 weeks (we do listening exercises with songs chosen by our students), we also have a library (not so big but with nice books kids can borrow) and we have a "sounds lab," too. It is done online and students can practise their pronunciation there. The warm atmosphere between teachers and students has lead to long lasting friendships."

“My school is SMP 2 Ibrahimy Sukorejo. It is located in Situbondo East Java Indonesia. There are six classes in my school. Each class consists of 25 - 35 students. We are single sex school. So we have classes for girls only or for boys only. The majority jobs of the students` parents are farmers or fishermen.”
